Sen. Franken Visit to Lewis and Clark Water Project
Last week, Sen. Franken went to southwest Minnesota to the Southern Sioux Falls Water Tower that is part of the ongoing Lewis & Clark water project. Sen. Franken has been fighting for funding for the Lewis & Clark water project for years. Most recently, the project was granted $4.5 million but Sen. Franken said that it isn't enough.
"The top priority in Washington needs to be job creation, and the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System would create jobs and spur economic development in Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota," said Sen. Franken. "I've heard from employers in Minnesota who want to expand their businesses and create jobs, but they can't because they don't have access to enough water.
