Sen. Franken Meets with Parkers Prairie Students at His Office in Washington, D.C.
Yesterday, U.S. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) met with a group of students from Parkers Prairie High School at his Washington, D.C. office, where he discussed his work and answered the group's questions about Congress and the federal government.
"I was very impressed with this group of Parkers Prairie students, and with their preparation and interest in learning about Washington, D.C.," said Sen. Franken. "They are part of a growing tradition all over Minnesota where students see firsthand how Congress and the federal government works. They asked a lot of good questions and I hope they got as much out of the experience as I did."
The group of came to Washington as part of the Close Up program to learn first-hand about the operations of the government and to tour the nation's capital.
