Duluth News Tribune: "Northland's reps weight in"
The Duluth News Tribune covered the reactions of Duluth's Representatives about the prospect of repealing health care reform.
“Health reform already has cut costs for Minnesotans and removed barriers that used to prevent them from getting needed care. We shouldn’t return to the days when insurers denied kids coverage because of pre-existing conditions or stopped covering people who got sick. Now, kids can stay on their parents’ plan until age 26, and seniors have immediate relief from prescription costs. The new law cuts the deficit, gives businesses tax credits to cover workers and helps ensure vulnerable people won’t go bankrupt or lose their homes because of huge medical bills. Let’s not repeal those gains for Minnesota’s families and businesses.” -- Sen. Franken
