Sen. Franken Questioning FBI Director Mueller about Carrier IQ

Sen. Franken questioned FBI Director Mueller about whether or not the bureau uses information collected by Carrier IQ. Carrier IQ is a development company whose software has been installed on millions of smartphones and that logs and may transmit sensitive information -- including users' locations, the websites they visit, and the contents of their text messages and online searches. In the Judiciary hearing, Sen. Franken continued his inquiry into how the data collected by Carrier IQ is used and distributed.
